Changing direction quickly both with and without the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on changing direction quickly both with and without the ball. The drill begins with the player sprinting upto the central cone. The player then transitions into a backpedal to move around the cone behind to the left, before transitioning back to a sprint to drive across to the other side and take the ball. After the player takes possesion of the ball, they look to dribble straight ahead, to then turn and move around the middle cone and out to the opposite side. When the player turns with the ball, they should look to slow down and keep the ball close to the body. After the player has turned around the second top cone, they look to dribble down and leave the ball before moving back to the start. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
