Short, sharp sprints into space to replicate changing directions
Description
In this session we are focusing short sharp sprints into space to replicate moving in different directions. The drill begins with both players sprinting to the first cone/pole ahead of them and back to the start pole. The players then sprint to the furthest pole ahead to turn and move around the middle cone and out to the other side to repeat. The player who returns back to their start point first may get a point in you want to make the drill competitive. The drill can also be done with a ball. The player should ensure they are close to the cone/pole when turning and slow down to enable a sharp turn. The drill should be completed at least five times.
