Agility and fast footwork to receive and move the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on our agility and footwork to receive and move the ball quickly. The drill begins with the player moving through the ladder by moving across with one foot out of the ladder each side. Once the player moves into the space, they look to play two first time passes around the cone with the coach. The player then looks to move across the next agility ladder before repeating the two first time passes. The player then moves to the final agility ladder were they look to move backwards by shuffling across, before moving to receive, open out and play to the coach before repeating. The player should ensure that they pump their arms and keep theirs heels off the ground when moving through the ladders. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
