Maintaining sharp footwork & technique to move away quickly
Description
In this session we are focusing on maintaining sharp footwork and technique to react and move quickly. The drill begins with the player moving on the spot with the coach then instructing them what hoop (cone, ladder as alternative) to place their foot in. The player looks to place to one foot in the hoop, the outside foot. So the blue hoop would be the right foot, and the yellow hoop the left. The player looks to maintain their fast feet, whilst pumping their arms and facing forward until the coach instructs them to move to one of the cones/poles before returning to the middle. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
