Burst into Space
Description
In this session we are focusing on Sprinting & Backpedaling in both Attacking & Defensive transitions. Each pole/cone is five yards apart. The drill starts with the player sprinting to the first pole. The player should always touch the pole when sprinting, and travel behind the pole when backpedaling. After the player has reached the first pole, they backpedal back the start, before sprinting upto the second pole. Once the player reaches the second pole, they backpedal to the first pole, before sprinting upto the furthest pole, and then backpedal back to the second pole to then spring through. After a short rest, the player repeats the sequence. The drill should be completed at least three times.
