ABC’s to turn quickly


Description

In this session we are focusing on the importance of our ABC’s (Agility, Balance, Coordination) to turn quickly to sprint into space. The drill begins with the player sprinting upto the pole/cone directly ahead. The player then moves either right or left and sprints around the pole before back to the middle and sprinting out and around the opposite side. Once the player moves back to the middle, they then sprint out to the top pole, before turning and sprinting back to the start. The drill can be completed both with and without the ball. When approaching a pole, the player should look to slow down and retain a low body position to enable themselves to turn quickly and then burst into space. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps with rest in between and should be completed at least three times.
