Sharpness to receive in space
Description
In this session we are focusing on quick sharp movements to receive in space. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player for a 1 - 2. After the player passing the ball back, they work their way through the poles, moving forward and backwards. Once the player moves out of the final pole, they receive the ball again from the coach, to pass back straight away. The player looks to then check their shoulder and move to the pole behind them, where they receive the ball to open out and play back to the coach. The player then sprints upto to the pole infront to touch, before moving back towards the middle poles to repeat. When moving through the poles, the player needs to ensure they are light on their feet to spring off, and retain a low body position when moving around the poles. Each set should consist of 6 - 10 reps and should be completed at least three times.
