Movement in tight spaces
Description
In this session we are focusing on sharp movements in tight spaces to control the ball. The drill begins with the player moving through the poles/cones to receive the ball and play back to the coach first time. The player then moves back across the same gap before moving through the next gap to receive again. Once the player reaches the final space, they then complete the drill moving backwards. This means the player moves back across the gap once passing the ball and then moves backwards through to the next space. The drill should be completed on both sides enabling the player is using both their left and right foot, with different variations, such as controlling with the knee, chest before passing back. The player should check their shoulder each time before moving backwards. Each set should consist of a set on the right and left side and should be completed at least three times.
