Changing direction & movement effectively

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to change direction and movement. The drill begins with the player shuffling to the pole/cone on their right side. Once the player moves around the pole, they then change into a sprint and move to the pole ahead of them, before moving around and changing to a back pedal to move back around the middle pole and repeating on the opposite side. When shuffling, the player should bend their knees slightly to enable them to push across. When the player moves to a sprint, they should look to cover ground quickly, and when they transition to a back pedal, they should look to get lower to the ground to retain balance, as well as scanning their shoulder to be aware of the space/players around them. Each set should consist of 2 - 3 reps each side, and should be completed at least three times.
