Sharp movement to attack space
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to weave and change direction quickly to then drive into space with the ball. The drill begins with the player moving in and out of the poles/cones. The player then receives the ball off the coach, before playing back and moving to the outside of one of the poles to receive the ball again. Once the player receives the ball again, they look to drive into space quickly to replicate moving up the pitch. After the player dribbles through the gate, they then return to the start to repeat. The player should look to have a low body position when moving through the poles, to enable a quick change of direction, and it will enable them to move through quicker. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps, and should be completed at least three times.
