Agility & Sharp Passing


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players speed, agility and the ability to combine that with sharp passing. The drill begins with the blue player moving through the agility ladder, pumping their arms and moving the feet quickly. When the player moves out of the ladder, they play a 1 - 2 with the coach, before moving to the other side of the pole/cone to repeat. The player then scans their shoulder to move backwards to receive the ball and open out to pass to the red player, who then carries on the drill. Other important factors to remind the players is the execution of their passes and to receive the ball on the back foot when opening out. Each set should last for at least 60 seconds to ensure each player has multiple reps. The drill should be completed at least three times.
