9 shape sprinting, turning and accelerating into space


Description

In this session we are focusing on a 9 shape sprinting, turning and accelerating into space. The drill begins with the player sprinting diagonally, turning to sprint straight down and then diagonally again. Once the player turns they accelerate to sprint all the way to the final cone. The drill can be progressed into using a ball to dribble. When turning the player should slow down and retain a low body shape. The drill should be completed at least 3 - 5 times.
