Sprinting and back pedalling to burst out into space
Description
In this practice we are focusing on sprinting and back pedalling to burst out into space. The drill begins with the player sprinting up to the middle cone and swiftly turning to sprint to the opposite side. The player then turns and transitions to back pedal to back to the middle cone to then sprint again. The player will then sprint until they reach the outside cone again to then back pedal back to the middle and finish with one last sprint. The player needs to retain a low body position when turning and decelerate to then burst out into space. A ball can be added as a progression. The drill should be completed at least 3 - 5 times.
