X shaped acceleration and deceleration speed practice
Description
In this session we are focusing on a X shaped acceleration and deceleration speed practice. The drill begins with the player sprinting to the middle cone before slowing down to move round the cone and then accelerating out to the next cone. The player repeats this until they are back at the start point. As a progression the player can travel with a ball. The player needs to slow down and retain a low body shape when they are turning. The practice should be repeated between 4 - 6 times.
