Pushing off to accelerate into short and long space

Description

In this session we are focusing on pushing off to accelerate into short and long space. The drill begins with the player moving to the outside cone and then moving to the opposite outside cone. The player then moves back to the middle and accelerates across to the opposite side to repeat. The player should slow down to turn and push off quickly, retaining a low body shape and staying light on the feet. A ball can be introduced as a progression. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
