Sprinting and back pedalling: Accelerate and brake to attack space
Description
In this session we are focusing on sprinting and back pedalling, accelerating and braking to attack space. The drill begins with the player sprinting to the cone ahead, before slowing down to backpedal to the cone behind. The pattern is shown in the animation above. The player should always approach the cone when sprinting and slow down, but when back pedalling the player should move around the cone. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
