Turning swiftly to change direction and accelerate
Description
In this session we are focusing on turning swiftly to change direction and accelerate. The drill begins with the player accelerating to the right side cone where they look to move round the front to turn round the back and repeat on the left side. Once the player moves round the left cone they look to accelerate and travel to the middle cone to move round the front and back down to the right cone to turn and sprint back to the middle cone before finishing by moving back round the left side. The player should ensure that they decelerate and retain a low body position when turning. Each set should consist of 1 - 3 reps and should be completed at least three times. The ball maybe introduced too.
