Changing movement and body shape to travel across the pitch


Description

In this session we are focusing on changing movement and body shape to travel across the pitch. The drill begins with the player sprinting to the cone diagonal opposite. When the player reaches the cone they look to transition to shuffle across to the opposite side before then back pedalling to the cone behind. Once the player has back pedalled around the cone they then look to transition to accelerate to the opposite side to finish. The player should ensure that they retain a lower body shape when shuffling and back pedalling. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
