Quick feet to save down low, transition to receive to play out

Description

In this session we are focusing on quick feet to save down low, transition to receive to play out. The drill begins with the player moving through the cones. As the player moves out the cones the coach looks to play the ball towards the outside cone representing the bottom corner for the player to get down low to save. Once the player has made the save they look to react quickly and transition to drop and receive the ball on the back foot to open out and play out. The player should stay low and light on their feet to save down low. Each set should consist of 3 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
