Travel across the goal quickly to keep the ball out


Description

In this session we are focusing on travelling across the goal quickly to keep the ball out. The drill begins with the player on the goal line and the coach with a ball in each hand. The coach looks to roll the ball towards each corner of the goal. As the ball gets closer to the goal the coach shouts a number of one of the balls for the player to react and travel across the goal quickly to keep out. The player should travel by shuffling across the goal, retaining a low body position and keep the heels off the ground. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
