Sharpness to save and get up quick to tip the ball away


Description

In this session we are focusing on our sharpness to save and get up quick to tip the ball away. The drill begins with the coach shouting a number of a cone. The player then moves to the cone and back across the goal to save. As soon as the player makes the save, the coach looks to throw a ball towards goal for the player to get up quickly to tip away from goal. The player should ensure that they retain balance quickly when getting back to their feet to be able to move quickly to tip away. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed three times.
