Stay light on the feet to react quickly to save


Description

In this session we are focusing on staying light on the feet to react quickly to save. The drill begins with the player facing away from the coach and moving on the spot ready to react. When the coach shouts ‘go’ the player turns and then reacts to save. The coach can shoot on/off the floor to test the player. The player should make sure that they don’t plant the feet as they turn as it will make it difficult for them to react and save. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
