Agility and quickness to claim a high ball and loose ball


Description

In this session we are focusing on our agility and quickness to claim a high ball and loose ball. The drill begins with the player moving across the agility ladder, before then moving around the cone/pole to claim and secure a high ball. As soon as the player secures the ball, they look to react quickly to claim a loose ball by diving and then protecting with the body. The player needs to ensure that they stay light on their feet and able to move quickly whilst focusing on the ball and timing their jump to claim the high ball. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
