ABC’s and quickness to move out of tight space to save
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ABC’s (Agility, balance, coordination) and quickness to move out tight space to save. The drill begins with the player moving up and through the gate, looking to stay close to the first cone/pole. The player should ensure that they stay light on their feet and don’t plant the heels to enable themselves to move quicker and smoother. As the player moves round the cone, the coach then looks to shoot across the goal for the keeper to then spring out to save. The drill is then repeated on the opposite side. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
