Footwork to shuffle and then handle the driven ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to shuffle and then handle driven balls into the body. The drill begins with the coach saying a number or colour of a cone for the player to move too. The player then reacts and shuffles to the cone before moving back. As the player moves back, the coach looks to drive the ball into the player. The player looks to handle the ball using the body to secure it. The player should ensure that their body shape enables them to see the ball at all times. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
