Saving and closing the attacker down in a 1 v 1


Description

In this session we are focusing on saving and closing the attacker down to block 1 v 1. The drill begins with the coach shooting towards the goal. The player aims to save the ball, before then reacting to close the attacker (coach) down in a 1 v 1. The player should look to close off the attackers space as quickly as possible. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
