Quick footwork to handle a ball driven into the body
Description
In this session we are focusing on quick footwork to handle a ball driven into the body. The drill begins with the player moving around one of the cones to then return into the middle to handle and protect the ball driven into the body. The ball can be played out of the coaches hands or off the floor. Once the player has threw the ball back to the coach, they look to move back around the start and out to the other side. The player should ensure that they work the feet quickly, ensuring the heels are off the ground and not dragging, especially when moving around the cone/pole. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps each side and should be completed at least three times.
