ABC’s to travel quickly and save the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ABC’s (Agility, balance, coordination) to travel quickly and save the ball. The drill begins with the player springing over the hurdles by staying light on their feet and using power built up by bending the knees. Once the player returns back to the start point, they look to move across the cones/hurdles, whilst ensuring their heels stay off the ground and they pump the arms. The player then moves around the cone ahead of them by working the feet quickly, to then move across and save a ball played along the ground. The players movement is integral and how they move through the agility area by ensuring that the heels stay off the ground and the feet don’t drag. Each set should consist of 2 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
