Manoeuvring through tight spaces to push out and save


Description

In this session we are focusing on manoeuvring through tight spaces to push out and save. The drill begins with the player facing with their back to play. On the coaches instruction, the player will turn and move around the outside of one of the cones/poles to then push out and save. The player then moves back around the cone and through the middle of the two cones to save another shot. If the shot is away from the keeper they should to parry away from goal, and if the shot is at the keepers body they should look to handle and protect the ball. The player needs to ensure they move the feet quickly to move around and through the cones to travel across the goal. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
