Preventing balls across the box & handling balls driven into the body
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players handling. The drill begins with the player stepping over the cones/hurdles. As the player moves out the cones, the ball is played in for the player to dive onto and protect. The player then reacts quickly to move across the goal and drop to the opposite side to handle a ball driven into the body. The player should look to fall onto the ball to protect it spilling out into a dangerous area. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times per player each side.
