Body shape to dive and claim the ball
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players body shape to dive and claim the ball. The drill begins with the player moving across the agility ladder. After the player moves out of the ladder, they look to shuffle around the cone/pole to the side, to then shuffle out behind the cone infront. As the player moves across the cone, the coach/player then looks to play the ball away to force the player to dive onto the ball and then claim. It’s important that the player ensures that they bend the knees when shuffling to enabled themselves to be able to push out to dive. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times per player.
