Agility and movement to dive onto the ball


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players agility and movement to dive onto the ball. The coach will number all of the cones/poles, with the drill beginning when the coach shouts one of the numbers in which the player looks to then move around. After the player moves around the cone, they aim to dive and handle the ball. As the player is getting back to their feet, the coach will then say another number for the player to move around. The player should ensure that they retain a low body position with the knees bent to push out. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
