Reacting to claim a dropped ball and a shot at goal
Description
In this drill we are focusing on our players reactions. If you don’t have a bounce board, this drill can be used in a 2-2-1 session. The drill begins with the player with their body facing forward. The coach then drops a ball over one of the players shoulders for them to react and fall onto. Once the player secures the ball and pushes away, the coach then looks to play the ball off the bounce board for the player to react quickly and push away from goal. The player should look to stay on their toes and keep their eyes facing forward. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
