Claiming a high ball to react & move across the goal to save


Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to claim a high ball, before reacting to move across the goal and save. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility ladder. Once the player moves out of the ladder, the coach then looks to throw the ball up for the player to command and claim. After claiming the ball, the player looks to react quickly to travel across the goal to save. The player should look to use the momentum built in the ladders to meet the ball in the air. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed three times per player, each side.
