Changing angle quickly to adapt to the ball moving across goal

Description

In this session we are focusing on changing angle quickly to adapt to the ball moving across the goal to save. The drill begins with the coach passing across the goal to the player acting as an attacker. The pass can either be played in front or short for the player to move onto and finish. The goalkeeper looks position themselves quickly in relation to the ball to save the shot. The goalkeeper needs to ensure they retain a low body shape with knees slightly bent and shuffle their feet quickly to move across the goal. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least two times each side for each player.
