Shuffle, handle, protect

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players ability to shuffle quickly, handle and protect the ball. The drill begins with the player shuffle to either cone/pole to the side, before moving back to the middle cone. As the player moves back to the middle, the coach looks to kick/throw the ball towards the players chest/mid-rift. The player then aim to handle and protect the ball before throwing the ball back and moving to the other side to repeat the drill. It’s important for the player to stay set and get their body behind the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps each side and should be completed at least three times.
