In this session we are focusing on our players to open out to move the ball across the back. The drill begins with the player started in the middle of the poles/cones, before moving on the outside to receive and play back to the coach. The player then looks to move across the middle of the poles to receive behind the deeper pole. As the player receives the ball, they look to open out and play through the gate, to replicate receiving from one side to switch and recycle play. The main focus should be on how the player receives the ball and that the first touch enable them to play quickly. Each set should consist of 4 - 10 reps and should be completed at least three times.
