Quick movement to transition
Description
In this session we are focusing on players ability to close down quickly before transitioning to save. The drill begins with the player moving to one of the high poles/cones, before moving around to move back towards goal. The player moves to the pole behind, to then move across the goal and save. The coach/player who attempts to score, can either shoot on the floor or put the ball in the air. The player should look to keep eye contact on the ball as much as possible when travelling backwards. When making the save, the players aim is to get the ball away from the goal, either over the bar, or wide of the goal. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times for each player.
