Moving to transition to save
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players handling and reactions to move the feet quickly. The drill begins with the coach bouncing a ball in for the keeper to handle and protect. The player then throws the ball back before moving to one of the cones/poles. Once the player touches the pole, they move back towards the middle of the area, where the coach looks to bounce the ball into again. The goalkeepers body shape should always enable them to see the ball, no matter which direction they are travelling. Each set should contain a minimum of eight reps, and should be completed at least three times.
