Moving feet quickly to save
Description
In this session we are focusing on our players ability to move quickly and save at the near post. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility hurdles, keeping their heels off the ground and moving swiftly. Once the player moves out of the final hurdle, they position themselves quickly at the near post to save an effort from the coach. The coach should vary the finishes, from low to high efforts, as well as bouncing the ball to skid off the surface. The player should look to push the ball away from goal if they are unable to keep hold of the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times on each side of the goal.
