Speed, Agility & Footwork


Description

In this session we are focusing on players agility and speed to react quickly. The drill begins with the coach rolling a ball either side of the middle pole for the player to move and claim. Once claiming the ball, the player throws the ball back to the coach, before moving back to position themselves centrally. The coach then looks to bounce the ball off the surface as close to one of the wide poles, testing the players ability to get across and tip the ball away from goal. The player needs to be light on the feet and move across quickly. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
