Handling at the near post, quickness to get up and save


Description

In this session we are focusing on handling at the near post, quickness to get up and save. The drills begins with the ball driven in low at the near post with the keeper focusing on handling or if they can’t maintain control pushing away from goal. The player then gets up and moves across quickly to save and push the shot past the post. The player needs to push off the floor quickly to travel across the goal quickly. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
