Travel and claim high ball, transition to move and save


Description

In this session we are focusing on travelling and claim high ball, transition to move and save. The drill begins with the coach throwing the ball high and over the player for them to react quickly to travel claim. Once the player has control of the ball they look to throw it away before transitioning to save. The player shouldn’t drop too far back on the shot and should instead get themselves across goal to narrow the angle and to ensure they aren’t saving backwards. Each set should consist of 3 - 5 reps and should be completed at least three times.
