Turn and face to catch and protect, quick feet to save

Description

In this session we are focusing on turning to face to catch and protect, quick feet to save. The drill begins with the player facing away from play whilst staying light on their feet. When the coach shouts ‘go’ the player turns to face the ball and then save a shot driven into the chest looking to catch and protect. The player then reacts quickly to move around the cone to move across and save low. The player should look to push off the back foot and ensure that they stay light on their feet when turning. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
