Saving the drop shot to get up and save 1 v 1

Description

In this session we are focusing on saving the drop shot to get up and save 1 v 1. The drill begins with the coach shouting ‘go’ for the player to then react to move to one of the cones to dive and tip the ball off the cone. The player then looks to drop back to goal to save a drop shot. As soon as the player makes the save they look to get up to close down and save a 1 v 1 from the ball that was tipped. The player should ensure that they make themselves big and close down as much space as they can. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
