Adapting to the angle to save a driven shot into the body


Description

In this session we are focusing on adapting to the angle to save a driven shot into the body. The drill begins with the coach driving the ball into the players body for them to catch or push away from danger. The coach then moves to the next ball to repeat with the player adapting their angle quickly to be in a position to save. The player looks to be in a position to cover both sides of the goal and stay near the centre of the ball. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 shots and should be completed at least three times.
