Neat footwork to move swiftly to catch and protect
Description
In this session we are focusing on neat footwork to move swiftly to catch and protect. The drill begins with the player moving forwards to the cone ahead before moving around the cone and back pedalling to the cone behind. Once the player has moved back around the cone they look to move up and round the next cone before transitioning to face the coach to catch and protect the ball driven into the body. The player should ensure that they don’t fall back when the ball is driven into them and instead they stay firm. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
