Stepping out to catch and drop quickly to save point blank

Description

In this session we are focusing on stepping out to catch and drop quickly to save point blank. The drill begins with the player stepping up to handle the ball driven into the body. The player then drops the ball onto the floor for the coach to run onto and the player travels back towards goal quickly to then make a point blank save. The player should focus on the ball when travelling and ensure they keep the feet at a steady length apart to be able to spring out to save. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
