Reacting when the ball bounces to get low to save


Description

In this session we are focusing on reacting when the ball bounces to get low to save. The drill begins with the player facing away from the ball. The coach then throws the ball with the player only allowed to turn when they hear the first bounce or the coach can shout ‘turn’. The player then has to react quickly to get down low to tip away from goal. The player should stay light on their feet and have a low body position to be able to get down quickly to save. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
