Sharpness to save volley or close down the 1 v 1
Description
In this session we are focusing on sharpness to save volley or close down the 1 v 1. The drill begins with the coach moving towards one of the balls before deciding whether to volley off the cone or take the ball towards goal. The player looks to stay sharp and ready to react. If the coach decided to bring the ball in for a 1 v 1, the player looks to cover ground quickly to narrow down the angle. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
